Top TV comedian to perform at Bedford
Bedford Labour Party is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year and next year and local activists have organised a special comedy night to mark the occasion.
‘Stand up for Labour’ takes place at the Trinity Arts & Leisure centre (Bromham Road, Bedford MK40 2QD) on Thursday 13 April and the line up includes a pantomime Tory MP (‘Sir Ian Bowler‘) as well as regular TV pundit and comedian Ava Vidal.
Ava Vidal, who has appeared on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Newsnight, Daily Politics and Mock the Week, says: ‘I’m happy to do the Stand up for Labour gigs as I am a big supporter of Jeremy Corbyn.
‘If Labour are to win the next election, we will have to win seats like Bedford and I’m looking forward to seeing a big crowd on the 13th to celebrate the local party’s 100th birthday.’
Also appearing on the line up are ‘The People’s Violinist’ Andrew Hubbard and guest speaker Pete Willsman, of the Labour Party’s National Executive Committee (which runs the party machine).
Tickets for the centenary celebration cost £12 in advance and £15 on the door and are available from:
